Synergy built sophisticated whole Building Energy model that accurately demonstrated the operating cost benefits of HVAC, daylighting and other technologies and presented Starwood Hotels with compelling reasons for incorporating
sustainable strategies into project design and served as a basis for quantifying and securing State Funding.
The following energy efficient and sustainable strategies, which are being implemented by the Starwood Hotels and design team, contributed to the overall energy use reduction of 18.5% as compared to the ASHRAE 90.1-2007 baseline
